Achieving big goals requires lots of help. Coalition-building brings diverse allies together around a common goal. The trick to making the broadest coalition is to be super-clear about a narrowly defined common goal and then invite anyone who supports that particular goal to join the group – ANYONE, including folks who disagree with you about every other thing.
